Authorised food trucks providing temporary food services

1. Trade licence issued by the Department of Economy and Tourism for the food truck, specifying the relevant activity to be carried out (e.g. café, cafeteria, etc.)
2. Photo of the truck or the truck design.

• You can reserve up to 3 parking spaces.
• The AED 230 application fee (inc. VAT) for the food truck permit is non-refundable after the application is submitted, including in cases where the application is cancelled or rejected.
• You can use public parking spaces with low or medium occupancy rates only.
• You must comply with the food control requirements and regulatory laws relating to this activity issued by Dubai Municipality.
• Ensure that traffic isn't disrupted. 
• The parking used for investment purposes must be at least 60m from the nearest commercial shop carrying out a similar activity.
• You must submit the design of the truck with the coordinates of the proposed location, and abide by Dubai Municipality general site requirements and regulatory laws relating to this activity.
• The truck must be at least 30m from the nearest residential property and must not face residential villas directly. 
• Arrange the electricity connection directly with DEWA. Alternatively, you can use a compliant generator, provided it doesn’t cause pollution or littering.
• Don’t serve food directly from the street, keep the truck at a safe distance from the road.
• Facilities such as parking spaces and restrooms must be available within 400m of the proposed location.
• The location must be at least 3m from entrances to other premises of different uses.
• You must comply with all food safety, hygiene, and public safety regulations in the Emirate of Dubai.
• Maintain the required clear zone between the food truck and the road according to the standards and specifications of the Dubai Roadside Design Guide, and ensure pedestrian and traffic safety.
• You must apply for an eNOC from service providers for any heavy facilities that require special machines or excavation.
• The final permit is issued once all the required approvals are obtained to park the truck in the public parking and the fees are paid.
• Public parking spaces must only be used for their authorised purpose. Don’t place any chairs, tables, refrigerators, water tanks, waste bins, furnishings, or any other equipment or structures in the parking spaces designated and reserved for the food truck.
• You must provide a visible contact number for complaints and suggestions on site.
• The food truck must be capable of being towed or moved within a maximum of 15 minutes whenever required, to ensure that construction works, emergency infrastructure works, or other operational activities aren’t obstructed or delayed.
• You must pay insurance to cover public property damage repair or removal costs if requested by Parkin and at the department's discretion. 
• If you don't pay the fees within 14 days, the application will be automatically cancelled.
• You may be required by the relevant department to submit a letter of undertaking to stop the activity and remove the equipment if requested by Parkin or other service providers, and to allow service providers to carry out their activities in the affected areas if necessary and to maintain the existing infrastructure assets. 
• Make sure you don't block or obstruct the access of the authorities concerned to their infrastructure facilities and assets, such as inspection chambers, signs, and control devices. 
• Parkin may cancel or amend the details and conditions of your permit if there are adverse effects on the surrounding environment, traffic flow, or due to infrastructure works in Dubai.
• If you don't wish to renew the permit, you must cancel it through the Parkin website or app to remove the signs and ground markings and avoid fines.
• If the permit is cancelled due to public projects, the remaining amount will be refunded. However, if the cancellation is requested by the permit holder or due to adverse impacts on the surrounding environment or traffic flow, no refund will be made.
• Headlights are strictly forbidden.
• This reservation is for food trucks only. Kiosks aren't allowed.
• The food truck design must be innovative and creative, and equipment mustn't be placed in the public parking.
• You must instal your food truck and start operating at the approved location within 2 months of your permit start date. You must continue operating throughout the permit period. If you no longer wish to continue, you must notify Parkin in writing in advance. Failure to meet these requirements may result in your permit being revoked without a refund. Furthermore, the location may also be allocated to another applicant.
• You must comply with the terms and conditions included in the reservation card.
